| BSP to contest in all 6 seats in J&K: Mayawati | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, MAR 30: Bhaujan Samaj Party (BSP) today kicked off its campaign for Lok Sabha elections here with party supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati making scathing attack on Congress and BJP for being the capitalist parties. She declared that her party would field its candidates in all the six constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a large public gathering at Parade Ground here, Ms Mayawati termed the Congress and BJP capitalist-based parties which have neglected the poor and downtrodden class during their successive regimes since independence.
These parties raise funds from the capitalists and after being voted to power, they in return introduce policies benefiting them by amending the Constitution and the laws, she said, asserting that BSP is the only party supported by the funds generated by its own cadre.
The poor class have been neglected by the ruling parties like Congress and BJP but Bahujan Samaj Party is committed to uplift downtrodden representing all castes, religions, the UP Chief Minister said.
Determined to be the Prime Minister, Ms Mayawati said, This time dont forget to vote in favour of BSP as the day is not far when BSP will rule at the Centre. She appealed the voters of Jammu and Kashmir to support her party in the coming Lok Sabha elections for equal treatment to all castes and religions.
Its an opportunity for you to decide your fate. Its not the parties, who fail to address the grievances of the masses but it is the voter, who has to differentiate between the right and the wrong in electing the representatives, Ms Mayawati said.
Meanwhile, she counted the achievements and developments of the BSP government in Uttar Pradesh to woo the voters ahead of Parliamentary elections, beginning April 16, when Jammu constituency goes to polls. |
