Vigilance Awareness Programme held at SPMR College

JAMMU, Nov 4: NSS Unit of the college in collaboration with Department of Computer Applications, SPMR College of Commerce Jammu organized Vigilance Awareness programme in order to inculcate the values of honesty and integrity among youth. Students from various semesters prepared posters and slogans on the theme "Vigilant Society leads to Developed Nation." A signature campaign was also carried out in the college campus to disseminate the concept of transparency and honesty in the society, in which Principal, staff and students of the college participated with great enthusiasm. An awareness rally was also organized to sensitive the students and general public. Principal, students and staff also participated in e-Pledge taking ceremony conducted by Govt. of India. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Rajinder Singh said that transparency, honesty and integrity were the hallmarks of progress in society, and urged the students to play their part in ensuring that corruption is rooted out in the society. He appreciated the efforts of the organisers and participants and hoped that all present would benefit greatly from the event. The entire programme was coordinated by Dr. Deepshikha Sharma (NSS PO), Prof. Monika Mahajan (HOD BCA), Dr. Deepak Pathania (NSS PO) and Dr. Anu Sharma. Among those present on the occasion included Prof. Pawan Gupta, Prof. Mohd Azam, Prof. Ashraf Nawaz, Dr. Chetna Gupta, Prof. Rekha Gupta, Prof. Binny Kumar, Dr. Jagmeet Kour, Prof. Shaji Khan and others
