GGM Science College Shines at Inter-College Kho-Kho Tournament

JAMMU, Nov 4: GGM Science College proudly emerged as the Champion in the Men's category and Runner-up in the Women's category at the Inter-College Kho-Kho Tournament organized by Cluster University of Jammu for the session 2024-2025. The spirited event, held at GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, brought together dynamic teams from various colleges, with supervision provided by Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director of Physical Education & Sports, CLUJ, and Miss Kajal Premi, Physical Director, GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The Principal of GGM Science College, Dr. (Prof.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, extended heartfelt congratulations to both the Men's and Women's teams for their remarkable performances. Dr. Gupta highlighted that the college's success in this prestigious tournament underscores its commitment to fostering athletic excellence and nurturing talent in sports. He further commended Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Physical Director and Dr. Sunil Dutt, Convener Sports, for their dedication to the students and their instrumental role in this achievement.
In the Men's final, GGM Science College faced off against Govt. SPMR College of Commerce in a gripping match, ultimately emerging victorious with a lead of 4 points. The standout performances of Mr. Manav Singh and Mr. Rahul Singh were pivotal to the team's success, showcasing their skill and strategic play.
The Women's final saw GGM Science College going head-to-head with GCW Gandhi Nagar. After a tie in regular time, GCW Gandhi Nagar clinched the win in extra time by a slim margin of just 1 point. Miss Gouri and Miss Manisha from GGM Science College demonstrated exceptional skill and sportsmanship, representing their college with pride.
