GLDM Hiranagar, SDGC Beawar sign MoU for Music Education

HIRANAGAR, Nov 4: The Department of Music at Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Government Degree College (GDC), Hiranagar, and the Department of Music at S.D. Government College (SDGC), Beawar, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance education, research, and cultural initiatives in the field of music at both institutions.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Principals and Heads of Departments from both colleges. Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of GDC Hiranagar, along with Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Head of the Department of Music, signed the agreement with Dr. Rekha Mandowara, Principal of SDGC, and Dr. Dushyant Tripathi, Head of the Department of Music at SDGC.
During the ceremony, Dr. Pragya Khanna commended Dr. Bharat Bhushan's efforts in promoting education and cultural activities within the music sector, emphasizing the importance of research, interactive programs, expert lectures, and demonstrations. The MoU is effective immediately and aims to optimize the intellectual resources of both institutions.
Both colleges expressed optimism that this agreement will pave the way for future collaborations and mutual growth. Dr. Bharat Bhushan noted that this is the first national MoU signed by the Department of Music for music-related projects and collaborations. He highlighted that the formal agreement will greatly benefit students by facilitating workshops, seminars, and internships, in alignment with the NEP-2020 guidelines.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in fostering a rich cultural environment and advancing music education across both institutions
