EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, MAR 30: While the number of first-timers from Jammu remained in single digit, 56 visitors from Pakistan Administered Kashmir, PaK reached Jammu via Chakan-Da-Bagh crossing point in Pooch district of the winter capital. A total of 89 persons boarded the weekly Poonch-Rawalakote bus service.

Sources told Press Bureau of India that 13 civilians crossed over to Pak which included 2 residents from Jammu and 11 Pak returnees who returned home from after meeting their relations on this part of the Kashmir.

Sources said that 76 persons including 56 fresher visitors reached Poonch while remaining 20 were resident of this part of the Kashmir who returned to their home after meeting their separated relatives and friends, first time after the partition in 1947.

Only five persons from Jammu travelled to Pakistan administered Kashmir when last crossing took place.

From Pooch side, the travelers from Pak were received by General Manager DIC Matlub Khan while Trade facilitation Officer Khatim Bukhari received guests and returnees from Jammu.
