| Briefcase containing lakhs of rupees recovered from Airport | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, MAR 30: Pannic gripped in the airport when a constable spotted a briefcase in the premises of airport here today. The matter was informed to the DySP airport and when the briefcase was opened lakhs of Indian currency notes, some documents were found in it and the same were handed over to its owner after proper verification. The incident occurred when a constable identified as Raguveer Singh spotted a briefcase in the premises of the airport.He, sensing foul smell informed the DySP airport Yogesh Sharma and SSP airport .On opening it police found lakhs of Indian currency notes, dollars, four credit cards and some documents. Police during the verification of the documents spotted the contact numbers of its number and he was called. The owner of the briefcase identified as Jaikrishan Haku came to airport. During questioning he told police that he is a resident of Jammu and at present has settled in California. He said that he reached in Jammu via Jet Airways from New Delhi.He said that by mistake his briefcase was miscarriage by him. Later speaking to media persons he thanked the police and felt proud of being Indian. |
