| Kathua police seizes 98.45 grams of heroin | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Nov 5: Continuing its efforts against drug menace J&K Police Kathua today recovered approx. 98.45 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics in the jurisdictional area of PP Industrial Estates Kathua, 02 drug peddlers arrested along with recovered narcotics substance got seized on spot.
On 04-11-2024 an information was received through the reliable sources at P/S Kathua that two persons namely 1) Shabbir Shah S/o Shaffi R/o Ward No. 12 Kathua A/P Maggar Khad Kathua 2) Baggo Din @Bhaggu S/o Bari Din R/o Barrian Pattan Kathua were doing illegal trade of selling Narcotics like Contraband and kept huge quantity of narcotics substance in their possession and trying to sell same to the people near link road Govindsar Railway Station towards New Basti Kharote Morh NHW Kathua area. Acting swiftly, a Police team led by IC PP Industrial Estates Kathua PSI Swaran Singh Manhas under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Kathua Sh. Manjeet Singh & SHO PS Kathua Insp. Ajay Singh Chib laid down a special naka/ checking at said area and were able to apprehend said persons namely 1) Shabbir Shah S/o Shaffi R/o Ward No. 12 Kathua A/P Maggar Khad Kathua 2) Baggo Din @Bhaggu S/o Bari Din R/o Barrian Pattan Kathua.
During checking approx. 52.80 Grams of Heroin (Chitta) narcotics was recovered from Shabbir Shah S/o Shaffi R/o W.No. 12 Kathua while approx. 45.65 grams of heroin like narcotics recovered from the second person namely Baggo Din @Bhaggu S/o Bari Din R/o Barrian Pattan Kathua thereby making a total of 98.45 grams of Heroine(chitta) like narcotics recovered from their illegal possession. Thereafter all the recovered narcotics approx. 98.45 grams Heroin were seized and the two drug peddlers were arrested on spot. On this a case vide FIR No. 357/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29/NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kathua while further investigation is underway.
District Police Kathua once again requested people of the area to come forward and share information on 100 or 9858034100 about any such illicit activity with the police for the cause. Your identity will be kept confidential. |
