Vigilance-Awareness Week- 2024 observed at GCW Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Nov 6: Dean Students Welfare (DSW) Committee of Government College for Women (GCW), Udhampur in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, under the able guidance of the principal of the college, Dr. Nalini Pathania, observed "Vigilance-Awareness Week- 2024". Various activities conducted under this programme such as: Integrity Pledge -Taking, Documentary- Display, Lecture by Dr. Preeti Dubey, HOD Computer Application and Symposium by the students.
First day programme begun with the Pledge-Taking ceremony by the students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. On the Second and Third day of the programme, the documentaries related to the eradication of corruption from our lives and deeds as well as need for integrity in our behaviour as well as in the administration, was shown to the students. Also, a lecture was delivered by Dr. Preeti Dubey, HOD of Computer Science department on the topic, "Problem of Corruption and Need of vigilance Awareness". On fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh day, other activities were conducted like symposium, poster-making by the students and lecture by a faculty member from computer Science Department. Principal of the college in her speech on the occasion congratulated the Convener as well as the members of the DSW Committee for conducting a wonderful and inspiring week-long programme on Vigilance-Awareness. She advised the students not to involve themselves in any kind of corruption in any form or in anti-social behaviour. She exhorted upon the need of character-building by our present generation in their personal as well as in professional life.
