Skill training for MGNREGA job card holders held

RAMBAN, Nov 6: To empower MGNREGA Job Card holders, a skill development training programme was held today here at Panchayat Dhandrath-B, Block Ramban under the Project Unnati.
The Project Unnati is aimed at empowering MGNREGA Job Card holders with skill development training to enhance their employability and encourage self-reliance.
Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Srinath Suman, alongside Block Development Officer (BDO) Yasir Wani & Programme Officer MGNREGA, inaugurated the comprehensive training programme. Director of SETI Harvinder Singh, officials from the Agriculture Department, and members of the local community were also present.
After the inauguration, the team of officers inspected pace of work on developmental projects coming up in the area, including Panchayat Ghar at Dhandrath-C, PMAY-G houses in Panchayats Dhandrath-A, B, and C, as well as various MGNREGA works undertaken in Block Ramban during the financial years 2023-24 and 2024-25.
The initiative and the subsequent inspection highlighted the administration's focus on ensuring quality infrastructure and housing for rural communities, in alignment with the broader developmental goals of the district.
