DC Doda flags off 25 farmers

DODA, Nov 6: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh today flagged off a group of 25 farmers for a training-cum-exposure visit to Srinagar.
The initiative organized by the Horticulture Department Doda under the Societa Accomandita Motori Endotermici (SAME) and Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) programs, focuses on promotion of agricultural mechanization and advanced horticulture practices.
Before the flag-off ceremony, the DC Doda interacted with the farmers, encouraging them to make the most of this learning opportunity. He emphasized the importance of adopting modern techniques to boost productivity and sustainability in the horticulture sector, noting that the training would offer practical exposure to innovative approaches in agricultural mechanization and high-yield practices.
The farmers will participate in hands-on training sessions and field visits, which are designed to equip them with essential skills and knowledge to bring back to Doda's agricultural landscape. The Horticulture Department, which organized the event, expressed their commitment to continuously supporting local farmers in implementing progressive farming methods. The officers and officials of horticulture department and other concerned were present.
