| Students group on educational tour flagged in | | | Rajouri, Mar 31- A group of 35 students and three teachers, who were sent on a fortnight long educational cum motivational tour to Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer under Operation Sadbhavana were flagged in by the General Officer Commanding, Ace of spade Division on their return here today. The flagging in ceremony organized by the Army was attended by prominent military, civilian dignitaries, children and their parents. During the tour the children visited the important places and historical sites in Jaipur, Jaipur Dargah Sharief and Pushkar in Ajmer, the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur. They also enjoyed a camel ride and Tank ride in the sand dunes of Jaisalmer. They had had a rare opportunity to meet the Maharaja of Jodhpur Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji and also interacted with the Governor of Rajasthan SK Singh during the tour. The tour exposed the children to the economic development of the country as well as its diverse religious, cultural and social fabric. The experience gained by the children has increased their awareness about our great nation and simultaneously installed confidence in them to undertake further challenges. The tour will also held to imbibe a sense of national integration and responsibility to foster closer and better environment in the insurgency ridden state of J&K. The students and their parents were highly appreciative and grateful to the Army for sponsoring the tour and providing them an opportunity to see and experience the rich heritage of our country.
