Awareness program held at Model Panchayat Nali

KISHTWAR, Nov 6: An awareness program was organised at Nali Panchayat - Bounjwah, under the Model panchayat initiative rolled out by Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan. The initiative aims to achieve saturation of Key schemes across 13 Panchayats targeted to be developed as Model Panchyats.
The functionaries of different Departments collaborated for the program aimed to educate people about the government schemes for development of Handicrafts, Handloom, Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, besides services being offered by the Revenue and other allied departments.
The District Officers from each department explained the eligibility criteria, procedures, and benefits of their respective departmental schemes. Pamphlets were distributed among the participants by the Handicrafts and other key departments.
The Agriculture Department, led by the Chief Agriculture Officer Amjed Hussain Malik also inaugurated a Kisan Khidmat Ghar (KKG) and distributed agricultural implements among the farmers. Artisans, farmers, and all participants were encouraged to establish their own units by availing the benefits of the departmental schemes, fostering opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
Chief Horticulture Officer Sajjid Mustafa; District Sheep Husbandry Officer Dr Jameel Nasir; AD Handicrafts Pardeep Kumar Shan besides other field officers of allied sectors were present.
