| BJP candidate organizes road show | | Leela Karan criticizes Congress for promoting dynastic rule | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 31- BJP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency Leela Karan Sharma, accompanied by party MLAs Prof. Gharu Ram and Shyam Choudhary, today undertook road show at Indira Nagar, Simbal, Miran Sahib, Kuliyan, Gigian, R.S.Pura town, Kalyana, Rathana, Salehar, Thinder, Khour, Mamka, Kirpind, Maralian, and Kotli Mian Fateh areas of the R.S. Pura assembly constituency. He was given rousing receptions at these places Later, Leela Karan Sharma also addressed a massive worker’s gathering at R. S. Pura. While speaking on the occasion, he said that the real strength of any party lies in its workers as a worker is a bridge between the masses and the party and BJP is party with committed cadre. He asked them to reach the masses and make them aware that the Congress has ruled the country for over 50 years but the condition of a common Indian has not improved. Instead of thinking about a common man, the Congress has promoted the dynastic rule. He said the people must ask the Congress leaders as to why Congress did not support the bill on Delimitation during the recent assembly session. Why the refugees from West Pakistan have been denied citizenship rights while over three crore people who illegally entered the country are enjoying all the rights, including that of right to vote and even getting elected to the civic bodies. He said even in USA a person gets citizenship after five years of stay there, the West Pakistan refugees are in the state for last six decades and their three generations have perished demanding citizenship rights. Isn’t it discrimination? He asked the Congress leaders from Jammu to explain as to why all the four MPs for Rajya Sabha were elected from Kashmir and that too from a particular faith. Isn’t it discrimination? He asked the NC-Congress coalition in the state not to test the patience of the Jammuites and take effective steps to end discrimination. He said the people of Jammu should not be taken for granted now as they have made up their mind to teach lesson to all such leaders who have worked at the dictates of their Kashmiri masters and compromised on the interests of the Jammu for personal gains. Sharma expressed grave concern over the treatment meted to the farmers by the state government. He said the farmers are not getting fertilizers, seeds and water for irrigation in time as a result of which their crops suffers but no one cares. He demanded Crop Insurance Scheme for the farmers of Jammu region. He also asked the state government to implement the welfare schemes for SCs in more effective way so that the benefit goes to the really deserving people.Former MLA Ch. Piara Singh, BJP leaders Yudhvir Sethi, S. Charanjit Singh Khalsa, Sat Sharma, Gurcharan Singh Pumma, Harbhajan Singh, Jasbir Lucky and Parshotam Sharma also addressed the gathering.
