The coalition government, he said, can not befool the people with the statements that it believes in maximum rather than minimum. “The government has to take concrete measures so as to strengthen the confidence of the people over the democratic setup”. He said that much talked about action by the coalition government seems to be only on papers as situation across the state is worsening since the new coalition government came into existence. “The previous coalition had initiated mega developmental projects across the state but most of them were getting delayed due to any people- policy of present coalition”, he said Asserting that his party was not here for power but to work for the betterment of the people, the former chief minister said that the mandate of the people to the party has strengthen the party at its gross root level and the leadership will not allow the anti-people forces to repeat what has been done in the past. Welcoming the new leaders into the party fold the PDP patron said that people have voted in large number in favour of the party during the recently held elections and now more and more people are joining the party which itself speaks about the confidence and trust of the common masses on the party”.
