JAMMU, Nov 8: An expert lecture on "Professional Ethics and Humanities" was organized today at the Government Polytechnic for Women, Jammu, under the supervision of Er. Suket Gupta, Principal of the institution. The lecture, aimed at students from the Electronics and Communication and Computer Engineering Departments, featured Er. K.R. Suri (Retd. GM, PowerGrid Corporation) as the guest speaker.
Er. Suri discussed the critical importance of professional ethics and humanities in today's fast-evolving technological landscape, emphasizing how they are essential for fostering moral responsibility, creativity, and effective decision-making. He explained that integrating ethical principles and human values into professional practices not only leads to long-term success but also drives responsible growth in an era of globalization.
The event was coordinated by Er. Naresh Gupta, HOD of Electronics & Communication, who thanked Er. Suri for his valuable insights. Er. Kamal Kumar, HOD of the Textile Designing Department, along with faculty members from the E&C and Computer departments, also attended the session. |
