11/8/2024 10:23:23 PM
Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Nov 8: Acting tough against the criminals in the district to ensure proper law and order including safety and security of the public, the District Magistrate (DM) Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan, JKAS has slapped PSA on 5 hardcore criminals.
Those booked under the provision of J&K Public Safety Act 1978, includes Mohd Abdullah Gujjar S/o Haji Nabi Baksh Gujjar R/o Sigdi Bhata, Noor Din S/o Habib Gujjar R/o Kakerwagan, Ghulam Nabi Choppan S/o Abdul Aziz Chopan R/o Trungi (Dachhan), Mohd Jaffer Sheikh S/o Ghulam Mohd Sheikh R/o Nattas, (Dool) and Mohd Ramzan S/o Mir Zaman R/o Dangduroo, (Dachhan).
It is pertinent to mention that the DM after taking over the charge of the district, had announced that no leniency will be shown to the goons and criminals to curb the menace of repeated crimes for ensuring security of the state and maintain proper public order.
Those booked under PSA are having antinational and antisocial records and were not desisting from their illegal acts.
There were every apprehension of disturbing public order & putting threat to the security of the state by them. The arrest warrants were issued directing the SSP for execution. As soon as the warrants were received, the police took them under custody and executed the warrants.
Reportedly, the DM has asked the agencies to keep at least '22' persons on the radar who always make attempts to stop the projects of the National Importance on one or the other pretext as deep rooted conspiracy and nexus to sabotage the national interest. They try to disturb the public order by false propaganda and keeping an anti-national attitude of slowing pace of Mega projects.
Worthwhile to State that Kishtwar District is a sensitive place in terms of the security scenario, where militant activities are reported 3-4 times in the recent past.
