5-Day E-Content Development Workshop Concludes

Jammu, Nov 9: The State council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Divisional Office Jammu, successfully completed a transformative 5-Day Capacity Building Programme on E-Content Development organised with effect from 5th to 9th November 2024. This intensive Programme on Capacity Building aimed at enhancing the digital competencies of educators enabling them to create engaging and high quality e-content.
The Programme was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor Joint Director SCERT Divisional Office Jammu. Fifty participats from all districts of Jammu Division attended the programme. Mr Vivek Jandial, Mr.Rakesh Chobber,Ms Lakshmi Puri, Mr Anil Sharma, Dr Balgar Singh , Mr Shailesh Kumar , Mr Amit Sharma , Mr Jeevan Singh, Mr Darshan Kumar Sharma , Mr Navneet Gupta and Mr Rohit Sharma were the resource persons of the programme.
The programme, organized by JKSCERT, Jammu Division, equipped participants with essential skills to navigate and leverage digital tools effectively, thereby enriching the teaching and learning experience in classrooms across the UT of J&k.
During five days Capacity Building Programme for e-content development, twelve technical sessions were conducted on divergent themes like use of canva e-content development, cyber security & safety, e-content development using Artificial Intelligence etc.
A field visit was also conducted for the trainees to Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality laboratory of GGHSS Bakshi Nagar Jammu on 9th November 2024 for their continuous Professional Development on e- content.
The program was efficiently coordinated by Mrs. Arsh Kour (AO), with Mrs Lakshmi Puri acting as Associate Coordinator. The SCERT faculty, under the expert supervision of Mtr. Tahira Praveen, Associate Professor, Head AU III ensured the seamless execution of the workshop. Prof.(Dr) Sindhu Kapoor presided over the valedictory function. She highlighted the importance of digital literacy in today’s educational landscape stating that Our educators are the backbone of knowledge dissemination, and it is essential for them to stay updated with the latest digital methodologies. This Programme is a step forward towards empowering our teachers to enhance their teaching strategies with effective e- content.
The program concluded on a high note, with a vote of thanks by Mtr Tahira Parveen, Associate Prof. and the presentation of certificates of appreciation to all participants and resource persons, acknowledging their active participation and commitment to ensure quality education.
