Rajouri admin finalizes arrangements

RAJOURI, Nov 9: In preparation for the upcoming Janjatiya Gaurav Divas set on November 15, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, convened a comprehensive review meeting to finalize the arrangements as per the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma. The meeting focused on ensuring a seamless execution of the celebration, which honors the contributions and rich heritage of tribal communities.
Key directives were issued to ensure the smooth conduct of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas. The Executive Engineer (Ex En) from the Power Development Department (PDD) was instructed to provide an uninterrupted electricity supply throughout the event with necessary arrangements for power backup. The Public Works Department (PWD) was tasked with organizing adequate seating arrangements for attendees to ensure comfort and accessibility.
Additionally, to promote public awareness about the government programs, it was directed that all departments, including the Election Department, would set up informative stalls at the venue. The Chief Education Officer (CEO) was also requested to establish a dedicated stall featuring books and materials related to tribal communities, allowing attendees to explore and appreciate tribal heritage and literature.
A joint visit to the event venue was scheduled for Monday, during which all departmental heads and key officials will inspect and review the on-ground arrangements.
To highlight the rich cultural tapestry of the region, the Department of Culture has been assigned the responsibility of organizing a cultural program that will showcase traditional Gojri and Pahari performances. The program is designed to reflect and celebrate the unique heritage of the tribal communities of Rajouri.
For media documentation, the District Information Officer (DIO) has been assigned to cover the event through videography and photography, capturing key moments and cultural presentations of the day.
The meeting was attended by Maqsood Ahmed, Chief Planning Officer (CPO); Muzaffar Mir, DIO NIC; Shakeel Ahmed Malik, Deputy District Election Officer (Dy DEO); Sheraz Ahmed and others.
