| Doda Police organizes awareness programme | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Nov 9: In order to give wide awareness, Doda Police organized awareness programme on new criminal laws at Doda. The programme was organized bySh Shakeel Rehman Bhat-JKPS SP Hqrs. Doda at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Doda under the guidance of Shri Mohd Aslam-IPS SSP Doda.
The event witnessed participation of faculty members and large number of students of Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Doda. An impressive lecture was delivered by SP Hqrs. Doda and other police officers to the participants. On this occasion, the participants were made aware about the new criminal laws viz Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) and their implementation replacing the colonial era Indian Penal Code (IPC), the code of criminal procedure (CrPC) and the Indian Evidence Act.
The participants appreciated the efforts of Police in organizing such awareness programmes and asked to organize more such programmes for giving wide awareness to general masses about the implementation of new criminal laws. |
