Akhnoor, Nov 9: Akhnoor MLA Mohan Lal received a grand welcome from his supporters upon his return to his constituency after the conclusion of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly session on Saturday. Hundreds of BJP workers gathered at the old bridge in Akhnoor, greeting their leader with floral garlands, drum beats, and chants of “Mohan Lal Zindabad” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
Accompanied by a convoy of motorcycles and cars, Mohan Lal was escorted to the BJP district office. In his address, he strongly criticized the National Conference’s proposal to reinstate special status for Jammu and Kashmir, stating that such efforts to destabilize the region's peace would not be tolerated. Lal reaffirmed his commitment to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing that Article 370, which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir, has been permanently abolished.
Senior BJP leaders, including District Vice President Sobha Ram and District General Secretaries Kuldeep Sharma and Ajay Singh, expressed their full support for Lal, praising his stance against Articles 370 and 35A and vowing to continue standing by him in his efforts to represent the people of Akhnoor. |
