Ladakhi play ‘Sod-Nam-Samton’ staged

Leh, Mar 31: ‘Likir’, dramatic club organized a show of their play ‘Sod-Nam-Samton’ at the auditorium on the concluding day of the four day long district drama festival here today.
The festival was attended by a large number of drama lovers, while participating dramatic club expressed their satisfaction over the people’s response.
Padma Shree, Murup Namgyal and Abdul Hakim were appointed as judges of the proceeding of the drama festival who will declare the result soon.
Speaking on the occasion the Cultural Officer, J&K, Cultural Academy, Leh Tsewang Paljor expressed his satisfaction over four-day long drama festival but he said lots and lots are to be done to promote and preserve the theatre tradition in the region. He thanked the participating clubs for showing keen interest to keep the drama tradition alive and continue despite of limited resources being given to them. He the complimented Information Department, Leh and Ladakh Theatre Organization for extending all out affords to make this festival a success.
