Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 10: Shakti Udghosh Foundation (SUF), formerly known as Mission Shakti, has launched a training initiative for Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) Constable aspirants. Starting from November 1, 2024, the program provides free physical and written coaching, with morning sessions at Government Women's College, Gandhi Nagar, and evening sessions at Baba Sehaj Nath Sports Club, Garhi Purkhoo.
The training, available to both men and women, includes intensive physical drills to enhance endurance and prepare candidates for the demands of police service. SUF, under the leadership of Preeti Choudhary, has been instrumental in empowering marginalized youth, particularly women, by offering mentorship and resources for careers in uniformed services.
To date, 21 students from SUF's previous programs have been selected for roles such as JKP Sub-Inspectors and members of the Border Women Battalion, Sahastra Seema Bal. The initiative is supported by JKP and the Government Women's College, Gandhi Nagar. SUF encourages community leaders and society to support this mission of women's empowerment through action and mentorship.
