DC Samba reviews progress of DMFT funded works

SAMBA, Nov 10: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rajesh Sharma today convened a key meeting of the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) to review ongoing and completed works under the DMFT taken up under previous year Plan and to underline the priorities for Annual Plan 2024-25.
The meeting was held in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex, Nandani Hills, and focused on asset creation under the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) guidelines through DMFT funding.
During the session, the DC emphasized the strategic use of DMFT funds to maximize community welfare and development across sectors including education, healthcare, social welfare, water supply, and infrastructure, with special emphasis on critical initiatives like the Jal Jeevan Mission. He encouraged departments to identify and prioritize impactful projects, specifically those addressing essential needs such as drinking water, primary healthcare, and educational facilities, to ensure lasting benefits to the community.
“The District Mineral Foundation Trust must continue to invest in high-impact areas that can transform lives, particularly in remote and rural areas. Our focus is on sustainable growth that meets the essential needs of every resident in Samba,” said DC Rajesh Sharma. He directed all DMFT stakeholders to prepare detailed proposals for high-priority projects for inclusion in the Annual Plan 2024-25.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba, Jagdish Singh, Chief Planning Officer Kasturi Lal, District Mineral Officer (DMFT Member Secretary), Chief Education Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Executive Engineers (XENs) from the Jal Shakti and Public Works Departments, and other members of the DMFT.
