JAMMU, Nov 11: The Science Club, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry at Government College for Women (GCW), Parade Ground, Jammu, celebrated World Science Day by organizing an insightful lecture on the theme "Science for Peace and Development." The event took place on November 11, 2024, and featured Dr. Namrata Gupta, retired Principal from the Higher Education Department, as the guest speaker.
The event began with a warm welcome address by Prof. Anjali Abrol Sharma, Convenor of the Science Club, followed by Dr. Gupta's thought-provoking lecture. Dr. Gupta highlighted the global revolutions in science, particularly the impact of modern scientific developments on society. She engaged students in an interactive discussion on the advantages and drawbacks of emerging technologies, especially focusing on social media and artificial intelligence.
