JSS hosts successful Model United Nations with Erudite

JAMMU, Nov 11: Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu, in collaboration with Erudite, proudly hosted its much-anticipated Model United Nations (MUN) conference today in collaboration with Erudite.The event, which brought together a diverse group of students from various schools, provided a platform for young minds to engage in discussions on global issues, diplomatic negotiations, and the art of debate. The conference aimed to foster leadership skills, critical thinking, and an understanding of international relations among participants.
The Chief Guest for the event, Nitish Rajotra( IAS), SDM, North Jammu, was warmly welcomed by the school management. His presence underscored the importance of such initiatives in empowering the youth and preparing them to become informed and responsible global citizens. Along with him, esteemed principals from different reputed schools were also present.
In her address, Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson of Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu, emphasized the significance of MUN in developing essential life skills. She stated, "Model United Nations is not just about debating; it's about learning to see the world from different perspectives, working collaboratively, and finding solutions to complex problems. These young delegates have the potential to shape the future, and our aim is to provide them with the tools and opportunities to do so."
The best delegation trophy has been clinched by GD Goenka Public School, Jammu and the best delegates award for different committees have been won by Athrav sharma Gd goenka UNHCR, Aayan singh MUN(cipality), Aarayna Sambyal MUN(CIPALITY) journalist, Angel Choudhary MUN(CIPALITY) Photographer, Suhas Koul MUN(CIPALITY) Lok Sabha, Shivon sharma MUN(cipality) UNICEF & Muzzammil Ahmed Rathore DPS Kathua.
Guneet Singh, Founder and President of Erudite Youth Committee and a young entrepreneur, the event organiser , also shared his thoughts. In his address, Guneet Singh expressed his excitement about the partnership between Erudite and Jammu Sanskriti School. He said, "At Erudite, we are passionate about fostering the next generation of leaders and thinkers. Model United Nations is a powerful platform for young students to sharpen their problem-solving, negotiation, and diplomatic skills. I firmly believe that events like these not only help students understand the complexities of the world but also encourage them to become active participants in finding solutions. Erudite is proud to support such an event that nurtures future leaders who will contribute to shaping a better world."
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students who took on the roles of diplomats representing various countries, debating topics ranging from climate change to international conflicts. The day's proceedings were marked by spirited discussions, the exchange of ideas, and a commitment to addressing global challenges.
Experienced mentors and facilitators who guided the delegates throughout the day. Their support played a crucial role in ensuring that the MUN conference was both informative and engaging.
