National Painters' Camp concludes at Mansar

JAMMU, Nov 11: A five days' National Painters' Camp organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu culminated today at JKTDC Tourist Complex, Mansar Lake. A valedictory ceremony was held in this connection where Sh. Vikram Randhawa, Hon'ble MLA Bahu, Jammu was the chief guest whereas Dr. Javaid Rahi, Secretary Kala Kendra Societry, Jammu was the guest of honour. Pt. Kewal K Sharma, Founder President JKCCA, Radhey Shyam and Bimal Magotra, social workers & art promoters were present as special guests on this occasion. O P Sharma, Founder President, JKCCA shared the dais.
The guests were welcomed by O P Sharma, Director JKCCA & Curator of this National Painters' Camp. In his address he gave a brief of the camp and well known and senior artists from different parts of the country viz. Shanthala Madhu (Banglore), Yashwant Patel (Valabh Vidyanagar), Swati M Jain (Bhopal), Kulwant Singh Gill and Dharminder Sharma (Amritsar); Jang S. Verman, Ashok Mehra, Kamalnain Bhan, Shakti Kumari, Parveen Gupta and Veer Ji Sumbly (Jammu), and Tariq Saifi (Surankote). O P Sharma thanked Smt. Harvinder Kour JKAS, Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for its role to conduct such events at a major level. Dignitaries had a round of the display of the art works created during the camp.
