MLA Akhnoor inaugurates road macadamization project

AKHNOOR, Nov 11: In a major boost to local infrastructure, the Honorable MLA of Akhnoor, Mohan Lal, inaugurated the macadamization of a vital link road in Panchayat Devipur today. The project, covering the stretch from Nai Basti canal bridge to Mill via Radha Swami Ashram up to the house of Jagdesh, is set at an estimated cost of 9.0 lakhs. This road will improve connectivity and benefit countless residents in the area.
Prominent community leaders, including Bhushan Bral, Member of the District Development Council; AEE PWD Ashish Bhasin; JE Devinder Kumar; Ex-Sarpanch Ganesh Dass; and respected community figures Jugal Dogra, Gullu Ram, and Ajay Singh Manhas, were present at the inauguration, marking a unified community commitment to progress.
Addressing a gathering of local residents, MLA Mohan Lal expressed his vision for Akhnoor's future, stating his unwavering dedication to transforming it into a model constituency. "We are committed to ensuring that every village in Akhnoor enjoys modern, high-quality infrastructure," he declared. "This project is a step towards fulfilling our promise of connectivity, safety, and progress for all residents."
The MLA took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of maintaining quality standards. He urged the engineers and officials of the PWD Department to strictly adhere to quality protocols to ensure that the road serves the community for years to come. "I call upon our engineers to uphold the highest standards in this work, as every project we undertake reflects our commitment to excellence and the trust the people have placed in us," he added.
Mohan Lal went on to highlight his broader development agenda, assuring the public that this road project is only part of his larger vision for Akhnoor. His plans include improving healthcare facilities, enhancing educational infrastructure, and creating employment opportunities for the youth. "Our work doesn't stop here. We are equally focused on uplifting every aspect of life in Akhnoor. I pledge to work tirelessly alongside you, ensuring that every citizen feels the positive impact of our efforts," he stated.
