Local support fueling terrorism in J&K: Kavinder Gupt
11/11/2024 9:21:33 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 11: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Monday claimed that the surge in terror incidents and encounters in J&K is because of local support being offered to the violence mongers.
In a statement issued to media persons, the party's stalwart leader said that there is an urgent need to tighten noose around the those elements providing logistic as well as moral support to the terror mongers involved in vitiating peace especially in Jammu region, which conventionally was considered to be peaceful and a land practicing communal harmony.
Expressing pain and anguish over the loss of Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Special Forces Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar of 2 Para, Kavinder said that the situation in Chenab Valley has turned alarming and therefore security forces should have to ensure that people supporting and harbouring these violence mongers should be dealt with utter strictness as it is not possible to sustain in such deep forests without the local support and the logistics which these violence mongers are getting readily despite many of them entering the areas after infiltrating from Pakistani side. He also conveyed his heartfelt condolence to the family of the brave son martyred in this encounter.
"BJP Government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi is firmly resolved to devastate all terror outfits and avenge the deaths of all martyred in this fight against the scourge of terrorism", he maintained while claiming that the perpetrators of violence, whether the ultras or their supporters, will have to pay a heavy price for this as security forces are on hunt and will leave no stone unturned to root out terrorism from the soil of J&K.
