Dr Andrabi pays obeisance at Kishtwar Sufi shrines

DODA, Nov 11: Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, today visited the revered Sufi shrines of Shah Asrar-ud-Din (RA) and Shah Faridduddin (RA) in Kishtwar, where she paid her respects and prayed for peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
During her visit, Dr. Andrabi also held a meeting with Waqf Board staff to assess the ongoing projects in Kishtwar. She took a detailed review of the developmental works in the region and discussed future plans for expanding the Waqf Board's initiatives in the area.
Later, Dr. Andrabi traveled to Doda, where she chaired a meeting to take stock of the Waqf-managed properties and assets in the district. Waqf Executive Officer Doda, Javed Iqbal Zargar, was present during the meeting.
Addressing the media, Dr. Andrabi emphasized the importance of the Sufi Circuit, calling it the "nerve center of peace and spiritual excellence in Jammu and Kashmir." She also highlighted the Board's future plans to enhance and strengthen the Waqf system in both Kishtwar and Doda districts.
Dr. Andrabi assured that new developmental projects will be undertaken in the coming months, which will contribute to the preservation and better management of Waqf properties, furthering the Board's mission of promoting social welfare and religious harmony in the region.
