Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Nov 12: A public meeting held at Gambhir Mughlan in the Manjakote area of Rajouri district saw active participation from local residents, who engaged with DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range, Tejinder Singh, IPS, and SSP Rajouri, Randeep Kumar, to address key concerns and promote community well-being.
The meeting, which was attended by local elders, civil society members, SDPO Manjakote, and SHO Manjakote, focused on several important issues. Locals raised concerns about the recruitment of Special Police Officers (SPOs), the establishment of a crime post in Gambhir Mughlan to improve security, and the development of infrastructure in local government offices such as the Niyabat, PHC, and schools.
Further, the community requested the construction of a new road linking Gambhir Mughlan to Shahdra Sharif, and extending it from Hatta Seri to DKG via Naiza Peer. They also advocated for the construction of a Niabat office, the renovation of the Dak Bungalow, and the appointment of a doctor at the PHC to improve healthcare services.
During the event, DIG Tejinder Singh emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the area, urging the public to collaborate in combating drug abuse. He also warned against fake employment schemes, particularly in SF/CAPF and police, advising the public to remain vigilant. The DIG also assured that strict action would be taken against those lodging false complaints.
SSP Randeep Kumar reinforced the police's commitment to ensuring peace and order, while also addressing the concerns raised by the community.
The meeting highlighted the administration's dedication to engaging with the public and addressing their concerns to foster a safe and developed community.
