Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Nov 14: The District Police Kishtwar marked the observance of "Thana Divas" across multiple police stations in the region, including Kishtwar, Chatroo, Atholi, Dachhan, and Warwan. This initiative was held under the leadership of SSP Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, and coordinated by the SDPOs and SHOs of the respective police stations.
The "Thana Divas" event saw the active participation of members from civil society, local shopkeeper associations, and prominent citizens. These meetings served as a platform for the public to voice their concerns, which were carefully listened to by the police officers in attendance. The officers assured the attendees that their concerns would be addressed with urgency. Issues requiring civil administration intervention were also noted and would be forwarded for appropriate action, with feedback to follow.
SSP Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, welcomed the participants and encouraged their ongoing cooperation with law enforcement agencies. He emphasized the importance of community support in maintaining law and order. He also urged the public to assist in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements, as well as those involved in drug trafficking within the community.
A key highlight of the discussions was the increasing prevalence of cybercrime. The police informed the public about the tactics used by cybercriminals and stressed the importance of vigilance in protecting personal information.
This "Thana Divas" initiative is part of the Jammu and Kashmir Police's continued efforts to strengthen community policing, foster transparency, and ensure the safety and security of residents across Kishtwar district.
