Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 14: Abhinav Anand, President of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce, engaged in a productive meeting with. Devansh Yadav (IAS), Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), to discuss public welfare issues, particularly those affecting the local trading community.
During the meeting, Anand highlighted several ongoing grievances faced by traders, including sanitation and hygiene concerns in Jammu city and its surrounding areas. He emphasized issues like frequent water clogging in drains and improper garbage disposal around markets and residential zones, which have compounded the difficulties of traders and residents alike.
In his response, Yadav acknowledged the concerns and commended the efforts made by the JMC staff in maintaining cleanliness, particularly in areas like Trikuta Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, and Shastri Nagar. He assured that these efforts would continue and that further improvements would be made to ensure better sanitation across the city.
Anand praised Yadav's leadership since taking over as Municipal Commissioner, noting the positive impact of the regular cleanliness drives and the systematic garbage management initiatives. He also expressed gratitude for Yadav's cooperation in addressing the concerns of the traders. Yadav assured Anand of his full support and emphasized the need for collaboration between the JMC and the public to elevate Jammu city's status. The meeting concluded with a pledge to work together for the betterment of the city and its residents. All office bearers of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce were present during the discussions.
