AKHNOOR, Nov 16: MLA Mohan Lal today laid the foundation stone for a new passenger shed at the Akhnoor Bus Stand, marking a significant step towards improving public infrastructure in the region. The project, estimated to cost Rs 9 lakh, aims to provide enhanced facilities for commuters and improve the overall transport experience in the area.
The foundation stone-laying ceremony was attended by former Municipal Committee Chairman Sanjay Saraf and a host of local councillors, including Rakesh Malhotra, Surinder Sharma, Karan Singh, Baldev Kumar, Ranjit Gupta, Anil Sharma, KD Sharma, Ashok Sharma, and others.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Mohan Lal expressed his commitment to resolving the issues facing Akhnoor town, emphasizing the importance of upgrading infrastructure for the convenience of residents and visitors alike. He also outlined ongoing and future projects designed to boost local business activity, including the creation of Rehri (Street Vendor) Zones.
