4/1/2009 10:29:25 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Reasi, Apr 01- In order to ensure smooth conduct of Parliamentary election in Gulabgarh Assembly segment of Udhampur Parliamentary elections, about 150 Presiding as well as Polling officers were today imparted Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) training by master trainers at Mahore, about 68 kilometers away from here.
The training was imparted under the supervision of Sub Divisional Magistrate, Mohammed Hanief Malik, who is also Assistant Returning Officer for Gulabgarh Assembly constituency.
During the training session, Malik asked all the Presiding as well as polling officers to make themselves fully aware in handling of EVMs before the polling day on April 23. All necessary instructions were also issued on the spot to the polling staff for free and fair elections at all the polling stations of the constituency. Any negligence on the part of EVM training would be viewed seriously, Malik added.
