| Shaheen asks party workers ensure victory of CN-Cong candidate | | | Early Times Report
Banihal, Apr 01- National Conference leader Sajad Shaheen today asked party workers of Banihal to ensure the victory of NC-Congress coalition candidate from Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary constituency.
Addressing party meeting here today, Sajad accused PDP of befooling the people with hallow slogans and said that it (PDP) failed to deliver during its three years of rule.
He said that much was talked by the PDP during the Assembly elections in 2002 but nothing was done on the ground. “What happened to the promises made during the 2002 by the PDP”, Sajad questioned and said that National Conference believes in action rather making hue and cry.
During the meeting several prominent political workers from Banihal joined National Conference. They included Abdul Rashid Manhas, Mohammed Safdar Khan, Mohammed Ramzan, Hashmatullah, and their supporters.
Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold Sajad asked them to strengthen the hands of Party president Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Mohammed Afzal Wani, Ghulam Nabi Khna ,Sheikh Abdul Hamid, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Shams-u-din Naik, Ghulam Qadir Kuttey, Sajad Hussian Bhat, Abdul Rashid Shah and Mohammed Afzal Dar.
