Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 20: A 3-day Bharat Scouts & Guides Triteeya Sopan Training Camp was successfully organized at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Nagrota from November 18-20, 2024, with enthusiastic participation from 147 scouts representing 16 schools under the KVS Jammu region.
The camp was inaugurated by Principal Shri Ram Kishan Dahiya, who served as the chief guest. He was honored with a symbolic scarf by LOC Shri Raman Kumar of KV No. 1 Udhampur. The event commenced with cultural performances by the host school students, celebrating the spirit of scouting.
Throughout the camp, students engaged in a variety of activities, including first aid training, creating emergency rope stretchers, and other skill-building exercises. Evening campfire programs added a lively touch, featuring a qawwali performance and a thought-provoking play addressing issues like pollution control and the impact of social media.
Principal Ram Kishan Dahiya lit the ceremonial campfire and emphasized the values of discipline, selflessness, and dedication. He expressed gratitude to Assistant Commissioner Shri Hari Singh, LOC Shri Raman Kumar, examiners, and organizers for their support in making the event a success.
The camp concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing the efforts of all participants. This initiative reflects PM Shri KV Nagrota's commitment to fostering character building, teamwork, and holistic development among students.
