Isolate divisive, communal forces: Omar

Jammu Apr 01- The Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has asked the people to isolate divisive and communal forces and stood as a rock against their designs to wedging apart various sections of the society in the name of regions or religion. “The vote bank politics has to be rejected once for all”, he said adding that every one of us should work for strengthening secular traits and brotherhood Jammu & Kashmir has nurtured since ages.

Addressing a public meeting at Purmandal near Jammu today, Omar said that the National Conference and Congress have always stood for amity, peace and equitable development of all areas and sections of the society irrespective any consideration of creed, caste, colour, region or religion. “Our politics is based on justice, principles and public service”, he asserted.

Omar said that the coalition government has drawn up the blue print for massive socio-economic development for the state to usher it in an era of lasting peace and progress. “Every section of the society and area would get its share in the distribution of resources and process of development”, he maintained.
Omar Abdullah said that the faith people have reposed in the coalition government for bringing about a remarkable change in the concept of development in Jammu and Kashmir, would work with a commitment to realize this goal. He said the next six years of the government would be remembered in the annals as the golden period of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. He appealed the people to extend their fullest cooperation to the government in its effort to realize the goals and targets it has fixed for the welfare of the people.
He said that government was aware of the unemployment problem and ways and means are being worked out to address this crisis. He said the issue is of such a magnitude that a large scale involvement of private sector is required along with creation of government jobs. “We are working towards this”, he said adding that renowned industrial houses are being persuaded to invest in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the steps are also being taken to enhance the employability capacity of educated youth and focus on human resources development.
Addressing the public meeting Surjeet Singh Slathia, Minister for Industries and Commerce said that government under the dynamic and young leadership of Omar Abdullah is working for the welfare of the people and for the upliftment of the downtrodden and is committed for the all round development of the state which will be accomplished in the next six years.
Among others who were present in the meeting were Devender Singh Rana Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo MLA Kishtwar, Nasir Sogami MLA Amirakadal, Aijaz Jan MLA Poonch, Tarlochan Singh Wazir MLC, Master Noor Hussain, Mahinder Gupta, Pardeep Bali and Som Nath Manyal.
