Omar Govt brings Governance to People's doorsteps, says Rattan Lal Gupta

RAJOURI, Nov 21: The two-day tour of Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leadership to the far-flung areas of Sunderbani, Kalakote, Kotranka, and Rajouri concluded successfully today, with key leaders engaging directly with the people to address their grievances and strengthen grassroots connections.
Led by Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest and Tribal Affairs, and Adv. Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President JKNC Jammu, MLA Budhal Javed Iqbal Choudhary, Shazia Kousar DDC, Vijay Lochan Chairman SC Cell, Yashu Vardhan Singh Additional Spokesperson Jammu, Rakesh Singh Raka Vice President Central Zone ,Ashok Sharma (District President Rural Rajouri), Shafayat Khan (District President Urban Rajouri), Manzoor Malik, Shafaqat Mir (Provincial Secretary), DDC Anita Thakur, DDC Rameshwar Singh, DDC Mougla Shamim Akhtar and several block presidents of Rajouri. The leaders conducted a series of public meetings, visited border and far flung areas, and interacted with locals to assess and address pressing issues.
During the tour, Javed Ahmed Rana took stock of people's issues and resolved many issues on the spot, particularly those related to water supply, forest and tribal welfare. He assured that matters requiring administrative approvals would be taken up with priority to ensure their timely resolution.He said forest rights act in letter and spirit, ensuring justice for all stakeholders and also issued directions to concerned officers to address of the genuine demands.
He said that the tour witnessed enthusiastic participation from locals, who expressed their appreciation for the government's efforts to address their concerns directly. Issues ranging from basic amenities, road connectivity, and water supply to employment and tribal welfare were discussed, with leaders assuring a continued focus on development and inclusivity.
Adv. Rattan Lal Gupta congratulated the Omar Abdullah-led government on completing one month in office. He lauded the government for delivering on key promises made with people during Assembly poll campaigns, including the restoration of Statehood, passing resolutions for Special Status, and initiating Public Darbars to address people's grievances at their doorsteps.
The two-day tour marked a significant step in reinforcing the National Conference's commitment to its slogan of "Governance at People's Doorsteps" and ensuring that even the most remote regions feel the impact of development and progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Rattan Lal Gupta also highlighted that the recent Assembly elections, held after a gap of Ten years and the people of Jammu and Kashmir regions have underscored the stark difference between a bureaucratic setup and a popular government. He noted and appreciated that the proactive approach of the Omar Abdullah government, marked by tours of remote and border areas by ministers who are actively addressing public issues. He emphasized that the seriousness and responsiveness of the Omar Abdullah government are evident in its efforts to ensure solutions are delivered on the ground.
Reiterating the National Conference's commitment to fulfilling its election manifesto, Rattan Lal Gupta assured the public that the Omar Abdullah led government in Jammu and Kashmir remains steadfast in its promises. He highlighted the assurance given by Minister Satish Sharma that the promise in National Conference Manifesto of increase in free ration scale from 5 Kg to 10 kg ration per person and 12 LPG cylinders annually will soon be implemented.
