| PDP to highlight misdeeds of NC-Congress alliance | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 2- To intensify campaigning for Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary seat, meeting of the campaign committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was held today under the chairmanship of Murtaza Khan, MLC who is chairman of the campaign committee for this seat. Party candidate for Udhampur-Doda seat Thakur Balbir Singh and convenor of the committee Sayed Asgar Ali, MLC were also present in the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Murtaza Khan said that PDP workers would highlight misdeeds of the Congress-National Conference coalition during the campaign. He said that during the last three months this dispensation has done nothing to solve problems of the masses. Calling upon the party leaders to effectively highlight failures of the coalition during the campaign, Khan said that PDP led regime has set an example of good governance in Jammu and Kashmir but the new coalition has failed to fulfill aspirations and wishes of the people. Speaking on the occasion, Sayed Asgar Ali informed that PDP has received over whelming response from the people during the first phase of campaign for this seat. Asgar Ali, who conducted extensive tour of the erstwhile Doda district with two former ministers Abdul Rehman Veeri and Peer Mohammad Hussain, said that people have decided to teach a lesson to NC and Congress for their misdeeds. Meanwhile, the party has also constituted campaign committee for youth wing. Harmeet Singh has been nominated as chairman for Jammu-Poonch seat and Balbir Singh as chairman for Udhampur-Doda seat.
