JAMMU, Nov 23: Jaspreet Kour, a Semester V student of the Department of Commerce at Govt. College for Women, Bhagwati Nagar, has made her institution proud by winning the Gold Medal in the Inter-Collegiate Boxing Tournament held at the University of Jammu from November 21-22, 2024.
The tournament witnessed fierce competition among participants from various colleges in the region. Jaspreet showcased exceptional skill and determination, defeating tough opponents from GDC Basohli in the semi-finals and Dogra Law College, Bari Brahmana, in the finals. Her remarkable technique and strategic approach secured her a well-deserved victory in the final bout.
Principal Dr. Meeru Abrol congratulated Jaspreet on her outstanding accomplishment. "We are incredibly proud of Ms. Jaspreet Kour's dedication and hard work. Her success highlights not only her talent but also the excellent training and support provided by our college PTI, Dr. Goyal Giri, whose guidance played a significant role in this milestone achievement," she said.
