Govt PG College Rajouri celebrates 76th NCC Raising Day

RAJOURI, Nov 23: The NCC Unit (SD/SW) of Govt. P.G. College, Rajouri, celebrated the 76th NCC Raising Day with great enthusiasm under the patronage of the College Principal, Dr. K.K. Sharma, and the guidance of NCC Officers Major Tanwir Ahmed and Prof. Salma Farooq.
The event began with a formal welcome of the Chief Guest, Dr. K.K. Sharma, by Prof. Salma Farooq. Prof. Farooq spoke about the crucial role of NCC cadets in promoting discipline, unity, and community service. The cadets from both the SD and SW wings delivered motivational speeches emphasizing their role in nation-building, with a special focus on the theme "Blood Donation: Need and Benefits."
Dr. K.K. Sharma, Principal of the College, highlighted the significance of NCC in shaping the character of youth and preparing them to serve the nation. He praised the NCC Unit's achievements and expressed his gratitude to Prof. Salma Farooq, Major Tanvir Ahmed, and the cadets for organizing the event with dedication.
As part of the celebrations, the cadets participated in a massive cleanliness drive across the campus, aiming to raise awareness about cleanliness and hygiene. A rally was also organized, where cadets chanted slogans promoting blood donation and the vital role of NCC in social service. The rally saw widespread participation from students.
The event concluded with the singing of the NCC Song, creating an atmosphere of patriotism, followed by a pledge taken by the cadets to become responsible citizens and continue contributing to society.
