Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 23: Expressing contentment, senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Saturday claimed that the results of Assembly elections in Maharashtra were on expected lines as there was a wave of Mahayuti Alliance ahead of the polling day.
In a statement issued to media persons after resounding victory of Mahayuti Alliance in Maharashtra, the BJP stalwart said that the aforesaid alliance comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and other key regional parties was always destined to win comfortably and even the opposition leaders have been knowing this fact without any doubt in their minds. "The results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections reflect the people's confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the stable governance provided by the Mahayuti alliance. It was clear from the outset that this coalition would emerge victorious. The alliance's commitment to development, good governance, and upholding the values of democracy has resonated with the people of Maharashtra", he said adding that the results in Maharashtra have once again endorsed the policies of the Modi government in that very state besides across the country. "In Maharashtra the electorate has rejected the politics of appeasement and instability. The Mahayuti alliance, with its focus on development and nationalism, has won the trust of the people. This result is not surprising but rather a reaffirmation of the BJP's popularity and the public's unwavering support for Modi's vision of a strong and prosperous India", he said while adding that the people in that state will soon feel elated and satisfied as the Mahayuti Alliance is committed to public-welfare initiatives, which would soon become evident. He also extended congratulations to the winning candidates and reaffirmed BJP's commitment to working for the welfare of all people, stressing that the alliance's victory is a sign of the growing influence of BJP in states across India.
