SSP visits Bhaderwah; holds crime meeting, interactive sessions

DODA, Nov 24: SSP Doda, Sandeep Kumar Mehta-JKPS paid a visit to Bhaderwah and held crime meeting there which was attended by supervisory officer, SHO, IC PPs and all IOs of PS Bhaderwah. During meeting all under investigation cases of current year and backlog cases were discussed with IOs and necessary instructions/directions were issued to expedite investigation, ensure quality investigation and maximum disposal in this last quarter of the year. SSP Doda emphasized upon the officers to ascertain forward/backward links in NDPS cases to reach its dead end and habitual offenders of NDPS be identified for their detention under PSA besides initiating proceedings for the attachment of their property. In UAPA cases, SSP Doda directed the IOs to collect circumstantial/electronic evidences and dispose off the cases for judicial determination. SSP Doda also directed supervisory officers and IOs to keep surveillance over suspects, drug addicts, OGWs and trouble creators, evil designers and rumor mongers and take preventive action to keep Law and order maintained at any cost.
The meeting was followed by interactive session with prominent persons /respectables of the area. The participants while speaking on the occasion, highly complimented the efforts of police by way of conducting such meetings for listening the issues and grievances of the general public. The participants highlighted many demands and issues of the area. A patient hearing was given to their demands and they were assured that their demands will be taken up at appropriate level and would be resolved on priority. SSP Doda while addressing the participants urged upon them to maintain brotherhood, communal harmony and cooperate with Police by providing inputs/information if any kind of criminal activities /smuggling like drug smuggling /bovine smuggling is noticed in their neighborhood by them.
On this occasion, an interaction session was also held by SSP Doda with VDGs in which the VDGs raised many demands during the interaction and they were assured that their genuine demands will be resolved. They were briefed to maintain alertness in their AOR by conducting day / night patrolling and provide inputs to Police if any movement of unknown /suspicious person is noticed by them in their areas. They were also directed to conduct LRPs/SRPs with nearest Pickets of Police /CAPF /Army and remain vigilant in their areas.
