KPDCL officials trained for successful implementation of solar scheme

SRINAGAR, Nov 25: Four-Day Capacity Building Training Programme aimed at equipping KPDCL officials with the essential knowledge and skills for effective implementation of flagship PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Scheme ended here today.
Senior Faculty from National Power Training Institute (NTPI), Nangal, Punjab, program organizers, imparted training to the participants during the training session.
The training began with an overview of the program's objectives, emphasizing the technological, financial, and regulatory frameworks that support solar panel installations. Expert trainers from NPTI delivered in-depth sessions on the technical aspects of solar panel installation, covering system design, energy efficiency, and the optimal placement of solar panels to maximize energy generation.
In addition to the technical components, the training highlighted the importance of adhering to national standards and regulatory guidelines for solar installations. Discussions included safety protocols, quality assurance practices, and procedures to maintain the integrity and performance of the solar systems over time.
The program also focused on project management strategies, ensuring that KPDCL officials were fully equipped to oversee the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of solar systems. Participants were trained on site assessments, procurement of materials, installation workflows, and post-installation monitoring, all critical to the success of the Yojana. A KPDCL spokesperson stated that with conclusion of the training sessions, the technical staff is now well equipped with the necessary expertise to successfully implement the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana on ground. "This capacity-building initiative played a crucial role in preparing the workforce to meet the challenges of the solar initiative, ensuring that its goals would be achieved efficiently and sustainably.
