Samba, Nov 26: Department of Political Science, Shri Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Government Degree College, Samba celebrated Samvidhan Diwas 2024 (Constitution Day) on the theme “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman” under the aegis of the IQAC and the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the college. The event, held on November 26, 2024, commemorated the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1949.
The celebration included three key components: a Constitutional History Storytelling session, an Interactive Discussion and a Pledge Ceremony.
The storytelling session provided a captivating narrative on the journey of India’s Constitution, its framers, and its significant milestones.
This was followed by a thought-provoking discussion on constitutional debates and the relevance of the Constitution in contemporary India, emphasizing its role in shaping the nation’s social, political and cultural framework.
The event concluded with a Pledge Ceremony and Preamble Reading, where students, faculty and staff solemnly pledged to uphold the values of justice, equality and democracy enshrined in the Constitution.
The celebration aimed to promote national pride, civic responsibility and constitutional literacy among the college community, aligning with the institution’s commitment to fostering a vibrant academic and cultural environment.
