Mustafa’s candidature gives Bhaderwah fight new twist.
4/2/2009 10:29:49 PM

Salman Nizami
This time it has to watch impact of political equation to the close relation. Announcing his candidature for Bhaderwah constituency for the coming by polls, Mustafa Azad real brother of former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has created difficulties for Congress candidate Mohd Sharief Niaz. If we go by political way, it was Sharief Niaz. If we go by political way, it was Sharief Niaz who vacated the seat for Ghulam Nabi Azad and now Azad returns seat back to Niaz. In the previous election Azad polled 38238 out of total of 94972 votes. Now when it comes between party and relation total margin of polled votes would definitely divide which makes it difficult for Congress candidate to achieve huge margin.
If sources deeply placed in the party are to be believed MLA’s of adjoining constituencies namely G.M Saroori and Majeet Wani are learning no stone unturned to make Mustafa’s victory possible. The reason is if Niaz is elected will be considered for ministerial birth because of his seniority with in the belt. It is relevant to mention that Niaz being cousin brother of Azad’s and belongs weak financial background the then when he joined the politics near about two decades earlier which also be a point highlighted by Mustafa Azad.
Meanwhile, Mustafa Azad has launched intensified election campaign in the area of which on Tuesday evening Mustafa addressed a large gathering at Bhelessa. Not only this lobbism in the Congress party has played deceitful role in previous assembly elections which resulted in low number of seats compare to its previous performance. So it is tough time for Niaz but his ability, Seniority and sincerity may help him to make it to power corridors.
