| GDC Vijaypur organizes pledge | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 26: Department of Political Science in collaboration with IQAC, Government Degree College Vijaypur organized a pledge taking event on "National Constitution Day". The program was organized under the able guidance and supervision of the esteemed Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Verma. The faculty members and students took the pledge and showed their commitment towards document's fundamental ideas and philosophy that the Constitution's founding authors strived for.
Pledge was administered by Prof. Ritu Bhagat (Coordinator NSS and Convenor IQAC) to the students and faculty members of the college. She briefed that the start of the prelude to the Constitution is referred to as the 'Preamble.' The Indian Constitution's Preamble is based on Jawaharlal Nehru's 'Objective Resolution', which was endorsed by the Constitution's framers. She further stated that Preamble's importance is determined by its elements. It represents the people of India, who are the Constitution's well spring.
