NSS Unit of GDC RS Pura joins Constitution Day Padyatra

JAMMU, Nov 26: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC), R.S. Pura, actively participated in the "Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman" Padyatra on the eve of Constitution Day, marking the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution's adoption.
Organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, the 10 km march commenced at GCW Parade at 8:00 AM and concluded at MAM College auditorium at 11:45 AM. The event passed through prominent city locations, including Jogi Gate Chowk and Ambedkar Chowk.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour led the college's participation, with NSS Program Officer Dr. Chanchal Angral and Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch supervising the students. Volunteers recited the Preamble to reinforce constitutional values among the youth.
Honorable Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Sh. Satish Sharma, flagged off and led the march, emphasizing its importance in fostering leadership and constitutional awareness. He highlighted its alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of empowering youth for Viksit Bharat 2047.
The participation by GDC R.S. Pura demonstrated the college's dedication to engaging students in preserving and promoting constitutional principles.
