| BEE ENN charitable society organized Aids awareness programme | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, April 2
Aids awareness program was organized at Bee Enn Nursing Institute auditorium by Bee Enn Charitable society in collaboration with J&K Aids Control Society.
Dr. M.A Wani project Director J&K Aids Society Jammu was main speaker of this awareness program. He gave his presentation on HIV infection and Aids awareness. He said that India is one of the largest and most populated countries in the world having one billion populations out of which 2.4 million are HIV infected. He added that the country like India where poverty, illiteracy and poor health are rife the spread of HIV presents a daunting challenge. The most unfortunate part with their infection is that actually the prevalence is not really known. Dr M A Wani laid stress on educative people about HIV/ Aids and the precautions how it can be prevented.
