Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 27: Former minister and senior BJP leader Chaudhary Sukhnandan on Wednesday advised the present regime led by Omar Abdullah to focus on the J&K’s governance rather than raking settled issues like Articles 370 and 35-A.
Talking to Early Times, Sukhnandan said, “Jammu and Kashmir needed an elected government and the BJP has provided it. The elected representatives need to work for the welfare of the people rather than flogging the dead horses like Article 370 and Article 35-A.”
The BJP leader said that the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A led to millions of tourists visiting Jammu and Kashmir and gave an immense boost to the economy. “J&K witnessed massive development after the scrapping of the so-called special status,” he added.
Highlighting the BJP’s role in fostering development, Sukhnandan pointed out that the abrogation of the Article 370 opened new avenues for economic growth and investments.

While acknowledging the efforts of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Sukhnandan underscored the importance of a democratically elected government for addressing local issues, particularly youth employment. “Now the elected government has taken over the reins now it’s the duty of the elected representatives to address the issues that touch the skin of a common man,” he added.
